Building towards a sustainable future for Aotearoa

Eastland Generation is playing a pivotal role in Aotearoa’s renewable energy sector.

We own and operate four geothermal plants and a hydro station in the North Island, along with Tairāwhiti’s first utility scale solar plant. Our overall operating capacity is 118MW, which is the equivalent of 3.7% of national electricity demand.

With a pipeline of promising new opportunities, we continue to develop regional energy capacity and resilience – while supporting a more sustainable future for all New Zealanders.

Project partnerships

Over the years we have worked with dozens of different entities and hundreds of people to develop and maintain renewable energy generation assets. These include iwi, hapū and other landowners, industry specialists, process heat suppliers, councils, national regulatory bodies, investors, and many more.

We are exploring new ideas and opportunities in Tairāwhiti and the Bay of Plenty – and innovative ways to make them happen.

With a proven track record, a diverse portfolio, and a clear-sighted growth strategy, we are always open to discussing possibilities with like-minded potential partners.
